History
Furniture Specialties was started in 1988 by a husband and wife team in Asheville, NC. In 2004, Bryan Fore, CEO, purchased the struggling company, which has 2 employees and primarily focused on upholstery. In the years to come, Bryan launched the manufacturing division of the company to include a custom furniture line.
Over the next few years, Furniture Specialties grew exponentially, requiring a larger facility to meet demand. At the beginning of 2010, Furniture Specialties purchased 3 acres and a new manufacturing facility in Asheville, NC. The new plant afforded Furniture Specialties the space to expand every division of our company. Since then, Furniture Specialties’ customer base has grown throughout the world, designing and building furniture for even the White House.
Our growth has garnered a reputation throughout the southeast as a leader in all things furniture: custom furniture, upholstery, woodworking, repair, and restoration.
